Rice Bioengineering faculty are pioneering novel approaches to treat intractable cancers by harnessing the power of the patient's own immune system. We leverage the latest tools in biomaterials, synthetic biology, Cellular, Molecular and Genome Engineering, and computational modeling to direct the body’s immune system to recognize and eradicate cancer cells with precise spatial and temporal control. In close collaboration with clinicians at the Texas Medical Center and industrial partners across the world our team of researchers are working to develop transformative solutions for improved management cancer care through advances in immunoengineering.
