The Department of Bioengineering at Rice is placed ninth among the nation’s top biomedical engineering graduate programs, up one place from last year in the 2023 U.S. News and World Report ranking.
This marks the fourteenth year in a row in which the program has placed in the top 12 in the category of “Best Graduate Schools (Engineering, Biomedical).” Among private universities, the bioengineering program at Rice ranked 7th this year.
The annual assessment is based on evaluations by department chairs at peer engineering schools.
