Rice Scholar Postdoctoral Program

Bioengineering at Rice University is a premier department with interests in imaging; tissue engineering; drug delivery; and systems, synthetic, and physical biology. The Department seeks applicants to its prestigious Rice Scholar postdoctoral program in any of these areas. Successful scholars will conduct research in one of these areas under mentorship of a departmental faculty member. The Rice Scholar positions offer a generous stipend as well as an independent research budget to exceptional postdoctoral scholars. Excellent medical and retirement benefits are included. Faculty Position in Bioengineering

The Department of Bioengineering at Rice University, located in Houston, TX, seeks applications for a tenure-track faculty position with a start date of July, 2014.  Rice offers an outstanding environment for research at the interface of bioengineering, medicine and biology with strong collaborations with the adjacent Texas Medical Center.  The department invites candidates in all areas of bioengineering research, particularly in biomaterials & tissue engineering, systems & synthetic biology, and novel experimental approaches to develop and characterize 3D model systems.  Candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses and to establish a strong bioengineering research program.  Candidates at the assistant professor level are preferred, although outstanding candidates at all levels will be considered.  All candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in bioengineering or a related field, conferred by November 1, 2013.  To apply, send a curriculum vitae, statement of research and teaching interests, and contact information for at least three references by December 15, 2013 to:
